The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
5.0
If I could give this 11 stars, I would.
I don’t give books a break on style when they’re popular, but I can absolutely see why this is so popular.
Madeline knows exactly how to tug at the heartstrings of her readers and I never would have guessed this was her first novel. Reading this, I finally understand what people mean when they forgot they were reading a book. The flow is absolutely amazing, despite several time jumps.
I cared so much about our main characters that I wanted good things to happen to them and it broke my heart when bad things happened. It was an amazing story and it made me purchase her other book.
