This one is hard to classify or review. It's basically a genre novel with big ideas. It's close to being paranormal romance, but it doesn't meet the requirements for romance. It feels like it's aiming for "literary fiction," but those ambitions are swamped by janky world-building, lopsided plotting, and general lack of character development. There's too much going on here and also not enough. I do give the author props for writing a lost play by Aristophanes, though.
