Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn Jennifer L Armentrout does not mess around!

At a certain point in this book I found myself thinking “huh, they’re together, they’re taking the throne, his parents like her, all seems good… is this gonna get boring now?” Oh naïve past me, how innocent you were.

The ending of this book, despite me finishing it in bed the most ill I’ve been in years, had me feeling POWERFUL 😂 I love that Poppy had her “tell Cersei” moment at the same time as her “dracarys” moment it was just so bad ass I had actual goosebumps.

As much as I was shedding real life tears over Casteel’s predicament, I think it was needed for Poppy to finally have her moment. She seems to have matured by about 10 years in the last few chapters and I am SO HERE for her divine feminine rage.

I’ve heard you need to switch to another series now and tandem read going forward? I shall research but any advice welcome!
