I've never read anything quite like this. Written in free verse with the words meandering on the page, i really enjoyed the experimental use of format and poetic style. When format choices coincide with character arcs, story themes and tone, I tend to appreciate the overarching story much more. I really do cherish art that is divisive, intrusive and real. While I didn't like the choice she made to keep her baby, I'm glad that this book chose to show the audience that quick fixes (such a band-aid baby) which refuse to address the underlying issue won't solve the problem. The realism of the final page was quite haunting.
