Beastly Bones by William Ritter

Okay, no spoilers, just some squealing. I loved it. It's fast and quirky and fun like the original, and in this one I feel like he really caught his stride with the characters. There's a great rhythm of push and pull between Miss Rook and Jackaby, new terrifying creatures to meet and a thread starting to tie it together as a series. (But it still has a proper ending, series that scrimp on endings really tick me off! I keep telling myself I'm not a series person but then I fall into new ones...)
