Wasn’t a fan
It was cute at first. There were some funny moments, and some parts that I really liked. Jake was definitely a favorite. He was the best part of this whole thing. But the story dragged on for way too long. The chapters were around thirty pages each, which made the story feel even longer. It could’ve been cut down to less than 300 pages and it would’ve been fine. I really dislike continuous miscommunication. At first, it’s fine. It’s human nature to not fully understand another person, especially when you first meet. But the miscommunication continued throughout most of the story, frustrating me to no end. I started skimming after 50%, and then started skipping pages by 55%.
It had a lot of potential. But pacing was the main problem for me.
