Hated the MC (self-destructive and aware of it, not changing at all), bad parents, bad girlfriend, and a bad friend. In no world is treating/using someone who cared about you so much a necessary evil. Rarely do I feel bad for a man in most books, but she made it way too easy to do so. Com het is a bitch. I feel bad for the main people surrounding Lucy and I only feel bad for Lucy for being gay in the 90's. 2.5 or 2.75 idk anymore. Started intrigued, followed by indifferent, then disappointed, now irritated. Unfortunately, people like Lucy, Savannah, and Martin can relate to the queer stories and lives given the continuous and unfortunate homophobia that is rampant now, I'm grateful and lucky I don't have to deal with being queer in the 90's. I can only wish for peace for theses characters and for Lucy to be alone for a long time instead of hurting others ( no spoilers I dont think).
