This book is a manual from one of the greatest swordsman in Japan and perhaps the world on how he views his philosophy and particularly philosophy towards swordfighting. And that's what it is. A philosophy book aimed at swordfighting. I have no idea why it's become a secret business manual to outwit your foes because it's not. It's not as general in theme as the art of war and a lot of the book is really tightly focused on fighting. There are some points about meanings of life but Musashi always ties it back to fighting because that's what he wanted to write about. I didn't find this insightful at all and I would just recommend rereading the art of war.
