Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Cañas

3.0

[2.5 stars] i want to love an isabel cañas book so badly because her writing is so beautiful, but i just never connect to it the way other people do. i’ve read both vampires of el notre and the hacienda and while the stories are intriguing, i feel like the punch is always missing. this concept certainly captured my attention from the start but it eventually felt too drawn out and slow that i simply skimmed so i could get to the exciting bits. not to mention our female mc is literally infuriating :/ so her povs always drove me insane. anyways, i read a “spooky” book during october so it’s still a win for me!
