The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna

4.0

I read this book as part of a book club and I’m so glad they nominated it. I truly enjoyed this book. It is a cozy read with that magical/whimsical side that is the perfect fall read. LGBTQ and BIPOC are both represented in the book. Mika was a great FMC, and the author wrote her well. I felt like I knew her. The reason I made this book 4 stars instead of 5 is story is not action-packed. If you’re looking for that type of read, you will not find it here. There were months that the characters were together but all that was touched on was little things. Surely, the author could have broadened the story more with little “incidences” with the girls.
