The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna
4.0

**SPOILERS**
Honestly, this book was a 5-star for me the entire time...and then I read the last page. Really?? Are you serious? I just feel let down. After all Eva goes through, she ends up still having to live the life of her other? And she is still not allowed to be with Sean? What in the world?? The only hope I can see for them is the possible downfall of the Loom that Erik mentioned briefly in the last part of the book. But that is small consolation to the irritation I experienced after reading the last line. Really? These two characters have to live on in my brain staring at each other across a fountain? Rrrrr.

Okay, so apart from my obvious anger at the extremely unsatisfying ending...the book was fabulous. The characters were rich and the action was riveting. I really enjoyed the writing style. I do wish that Eva had a chance to tell the Weavers off during a trial, but since the trial never happened, I guess she didn't get her chance. I think it would have been an interesting addition.

Would I recommend this book to a friend? I am not sure. If there were to be a sequel, definitely. As it stands now with the ending the way it is...probably not.
