I had wanted to dive into Caiden and Winter's story for a couple years now. I didnt really read Becca's books in order and wanted to see what these 2 MCs were about.

I usually don't like cliffhangers much but I own the first 3 books so not waiting to know what will happen makes it more enjoyable.

So, here are my thoughts about TLWT

I Liked the intrigue. I like when there's mystery to solve and when it got darker, it really griped me.

However...
The start of the love story was just ok. It was nothing I have not read before so nothing really stood out that much for me. Many chapters felt a little rushed and left me wanting more plot/character development. I also wanted to feel Caiden's hotness in the description of his actions, not just be told he was hot. Not sure if that makes sense?

One thing though that I want to give praise to the author is the way she never makes her FMCs annoying. I was rooting for Winter the whole time. I'm hoping now that the characters have been presented, that the story/relationships will explode in the next 2 books.
