I wasn’t convinced in the beginning that this second book was necessary, but I was wrong. I underestimated this book. It was so nice to be back with some of these characters and see new stories unfold. They are so easy to connect and sympathize with even though I feel I have nothing in common with them. The second half is much better than the beginning, and that ending is badass. And again Flagg did an awesome job of balancing the sadness and happiness when presenting the realities of life.
