The Lives of Saints by Leigh Bardugo
4.0
This felt like the story collections read to me as a child!
There are a few reference SoC fans would appreciate but it doesn’t really require any prior knowledge of the Grishaverse and references to Ravka are minimal.
Leigh Bardugo has a simple writing style and I never find myself highlighting descriptions because of their beauty. My enjoyment of her works comes from her dialogue, so I was apprehensive going into this.
The stories did seem repetitive but the collection is so short and the illustrations were so stunning I couldn’t bring myself to mind all that much.
I’m a sucker for gold in pretty much anything and this art style had me from the get go.
