really liked this as a sequel. having aunt lydias pov was great I loved hearing her try and justify her actions lol. but the ending really fell flat for me, very clearly written with a 2016 liberal optimism that has become laughably naive since. it was a bit painful to read and hear this optimism in 2025 tbh. not really the fault of Atwood I guess.

loathed the fact aunt lydia also helped end Gilead. I just dont think this character would have done that. God forbid a woman is evil sometimes.
