Three friends, Circle, Square, and Triangle play hide-and-seek. Circle closes her eyes and counts, but when she opens them, Square tells her that Triangle has hidden in the dark place that was out of bounds for this game. Although frightened, Circle goes there to seek Triangle. When they meet, they both make an unexpected discovery.
Barnett and Klassen are an author and illustrator team that are known for their minimalist style of picture books. This one is designed to engage a discussion between the parent or caregiver reading and the young child or children listening to the story.
