I swear the only reason I’ve kept going in this series is because of the cliffhangers!!!! Otherwise, the series as a whole falls flat for me in terms of what I want in a fantasy book (strong world building, complex magic systems, politics) but this book really kicks in with the interesting dynamics of polyamory and the SPICE. Delivers in that for sure lol. Most interesting of the books so far and the FMC has lost her whiny streak thank gods.
