Second First Impressions was a cozy romance. I found it suitably entertaining while reading it but don't get the sense that it's going to linger in my memory for long. Teddy seemed a bit more fleshed out as a main character than Ruthie did, which I found a bit disappointing. Ruthie's quiet, homebody tendencies were relatable but started to feel boring after having the book remind me over and over that she could basically be summed up by "25 going on 95." Thorne's writing was as captivating as always, though, which made it easy to maintain a sense of emotional investment in Second First Impressions.
