Saving Noah
by Lucinda Berry
I honestly don’t know how to rate this or if I should. Lucinda definitely chose a topic that is rarely spoken about. Actually, it’s one no one wants to talk about. A topic people avoid. And this one’s a tough pill to swallow.
I can’t imagine being a mom and finding out my teenage son has molested little girls. Like, how do you react to that? What do you do? What do you say? What’s going to happen?
To an extent I empathized with Adrianne, Noah’s mom. Trying to keep the family together, trying to do everything in her power to “save” her son from this “problem”. Lucas, Noah’s dad, reacted to the confession in a way that wasn’t out of the ordinary. I didn’t blame him.
Saving Noah was a book that made me feel all kinds of emotions. At one point it was hard to breathe. It definitely makes you think! Lucinda is known to blur the lines between fictional and non fictional and she did a great job with this one!
