The First to Die at the End
by Adam Silvera
Beautifully written in that I loved how the characters were written so we could experience them. Some of the dialogue / inner thoughts of the characters were lame though, like sometimes it was something out of a Disney show. Loved for the character development but 4 because it couldn't beat they both die at the end. The story was reminiscent of the first book in the series by too much, I know the couple was different but their thoughts were maybe a little too similar at times? Maybe I'm being too nitpicky but the ending of the last one I can never forget. This book is unforgettable by how the two main characters are written. I took a break when reading this (obvious if you look at start vs finished date) but I still remembered the two main characters. Not their names, but their circumstances, which is honestly a lot from someone who has to skip back a chapter or two to get situated before taking a two day break. Valentines day boy and heart problem boy.
