I’m a big fan of the brother’s best friend trope. This book focused on Garrett and Jennie’s friendship.
I didn’t read the first novel in this series, so that might be why the pacing felt off in the begging. Everything was happening at once and all of these characters I didn’t know were all talking. It was jarring but after a few chapters it seemed to slow down.
I will say there was more spice than I was expecting.
It can be frustrating to read about a character than let’s people walk all over them. I’m glad Jennie stood up against Krissy at the end. Kevin and Simon definitely deserved to get beat.
