Sunrises

Emma has had such a hard life so far even since she was a kid. When she finally ups and leaves Manhattan due to being taken advantage, she goes to her grandmother Lala's house and meets her little sister Nora for the first time. Lala cooks for the first responders every Thursday, especially Reed. Emma hates him right off the bat because of what she went through as a kid from her mother, and it gets worse when she finds out he's a cop. But the way Reed reassures her that he's not bad is so sweet and caring taking his time and not pushing. They finally can't ignore their feelings and start to get closer, with a little meddling from Lala to help, and they each open up about their pasts. Things start to get really troublesome for them with Emma's family, and then especially when the truth about Manhattan comes out that ended up hurting quite a few people. The relationship that Reed has with Nora is just adorable and its rare to hear about someone like him taking on a kid that's not even related to him at all, but he thinks of her as his anyways. I love how everyone in Reeds life welcomed Emma and treated her as part of their group, even with her working on her past demons.
