One of my favourite Ali Hazelwood books. I like how much science was actually important to the story instead of just being the setting and I appreciated the subtle political commentary. I also found the characters to be very interesting and fun (even if they were a bit stereotypical). would have prefered more depth with the MMC but I understand that the book is one pov and I do think that Ali tends to write her antagonists a bit on the one dimensional villain side.
Graphic: Chronic illness, Sexual content
Moderate: Misogyny, Medical content, Acephobia/Arophobia, Gaslighting
Minor: Emotional abuse, Death of parent, Toxic friendship
