It is no small feat to condense the gargantuan narrative of The Iliad onto one man, in one(ish) hour. But this monologue goes above and beyond to shape Homer's story for modern audiences. The narrator's ageless and mysterious nature adds intrigue as he transforms between characters and massive tides of emotion, whilst smartly placed modern similes / references add a kind of relevance that really sets this production apart. I hope I can see it performed live someday!
