3.5 stars again. i found myself not caring. i feel like there’s a lot of potential here but many scenes are dragged out unnecessarily. i like the plot and the world, but i don’t like the characters enough to keep reading the series. also, i found myself confused by the motivations and actions of the characters (cyrus in particular) which i suppose might be explained in the next book, but as i said, i can’t bring myself to care enough to find out. i promise i don’t hate this book as much as my review makes it sound like i do, i just don’t think it’s for me.
