First off i want to thank Ella Dawes & NerdFam for an arc of this book!!!

I wanna start off by saying this is a dark romantasy so please please please check your TW’s!!! This book starts off with a huge trigger, as well as throughout the whole book. Protect your mental health! No book is worth being triggered over!!

Starting with the World Building & Magic System. I have never read anything like this book, the magic system was so cool & flushed out. The different people who have magic and the different elements, as well as the gems beside their eyes is such a good idea. The world building is next level. I especially love the aspect of the gods in my this book, it was 😘.

Darius. I wanna give him a big hug, he hurts so much & i just want to take all that away from him. Darius is the bastard prince, who if i’m remembering correctly is also head of the guard. His relationship with Adelphia hurt, i get both sides but it just ripped my heart in 2. I am really hoping for more growth & healing between these twos relationship. Darius is a morally grey character, so of course i would fall for him😁. I was definitely blushing during many of his scenes. I will say, i cried for him many times, especially having to do with Adelphia.

Lena is out badass “take no names” FMC. She’s hardened because she had to & that just pulls at my heart strings. That part of her i related to way too much. The first bit of the book you have absolutely no clue about her as a character, your kept in the dark just as much as Darius is but you get to see more of her through little hints, things she thinks, people around her, & also things she tells Darius. I still feel she is a mystery, we know a bit about her as a person, but there’s still so much missing & i can’t wait to figure her out.

Lena & Darius relationship is so good. i love them so much, i am obsessed. Lastly the side characters are the best, & i love them all.

You’ll like this book if you like dark romance, fates mates, lush world building, a unique magic system, morally grey mmc, badass fmc, chaotic side characters, touch her & die, & found family!!
