Re-read July 2023
This is one of my favourite books and I picked it for my book club because I wanted to re-visit it. I really loved reading it while knowing what was going to happen and spotting the hints along the way. Piranesi is a fascinating character and I love his naivety, empathy and intelligence. I also love his world and the way he describes it. I found myself thinking about the world of Halls and Statues and Tides whenever I wasn't reading it and there are so many layers to the story. It's made me consider once again if I should attempt to read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell but at 1000 pages I'm still not sure.
