This was my first book by Piper Rayne, and I really enjoyed it. It was also my first hockey romance.
One of the top players for the Florida Fury is Aiden. However, when he goes through a scoring slump and goes nine games without scoring, things start to change. When he scores on a game night, everyone is curious as to how he broke out of his rut. When he thinks about it, the only difference is that he got white wine thrown in his face at a New Year's Eve party by Saige, who happened to be his agent's date.
Saige and Aiden were really adorable. It was a pleasure to read about Aiden because he was such a gentleman. It was lovely how he approached Saige. Saige had the nicest personality—she was kind and had a wonderful personality. As the social media manager for professional athletes, she had to deal with them throughout her career, thus she had a strong backbone. Their chemistry was fantastic, and it was lovely to watch as their friendship and feelings for one another grew. I also liked the supporting characters. They added to the story and made more enjoyable.
