Disappearing Earth by Julia Phillips
sad
slow-paced
- Loveable characters? No
2.0
This wasn’t what I was expecting. For some reason, I thought this was a mystery with a climate change angle.
While I can see what this book was trying to do, it didn’t work for me. It was too bleak with too many characters. We spent a lot of time trapped in the head of navel-gazing humans and as the book progressed, I started to dread picking it up just because it was so grey and hopeless.

Moderate: Animal death
