The Reanimator's Heart by Kara Jorgensen

dark lighthearted mysterious fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix

4.25

I really liked this book for the most part, the characters were very likeable (we need more 30+ years old characters in books), the plot was interesting, and the whole idea was well executed (for the most part). TBH, I was thinking about giving this book 4.75 until the last 3 chapters.
The climax felt a bit rushed and not well explained in my opinion. A bunch of people died and no one really cared much, which okay, they were the bad ones, but still, the whole thing resolved way too easily.
I'm going to continue the series, because like I said, I had a lot of fun reading it and I liked the characters a lot, especially Oliver, I want to know more. The ending was a bit lacklustre, but the rest was a solid read.
