After finishing The Sandman I was worried this book would fall flat, but I shouldn't have worried because once again Lars Kepler gave me everything I want from a Nordic Noir and then some.
Dare I say this is my favorite series of all time? With every book it just keeps getting better and better! The characters growth and the uncovering of their backstories piece by piece would keep me coming back even without the gruesome crimes Kepler manages to think up.
This book was especially fun because of the tie in to the very first novel. The crime was, as per always, well thought out and had me guessing right up until the end. And the ending! No spoilers but I will say it's taking all my willpower to try and space out the last few books instead of jumping right into the next one.
