I thoroughly enjoyed this book as a conclusion to Kyoshi's story. F. C. Yee's writing is so captivating, and I actually didn't really mind the "overwritten"ness of some parts, it effectively created a clear picture for me. The character dynamics are really what makes this series so impactful. The Kyoshi - Rangi - Hei-Ran dynamic is something that I really haven't seen anywhere else, the Kyoshi-Yun connection broke my heart, and the spiritual journey that Kyoshi takes that leads to her reconciliation with Kuruk is heartfelt. I can definitely give more examples, but it's definitely a roller coaster.
Also Kyoshi x Rangi, best couple in the entire franchise (would put them on top with Sukka). Happy pride month :)
