The Fell of Dark by Caleb Roehrig

4.0

I really, really enjoyed this one. It was fun, exciting, thrilling and compulsively readable. I loved the vampire mythology too, which mixes old and new things together very nicely. Auggie is a wonderful main character who is in a perpetual existential crisis now that some dark entity is threatening to take over his body and everyone is lying to him and trying to kill him. Here for that too. I related to him a lot. I just wanted to hug him and protect him from everyone. But what stood out was the romance, the love triangle. It was so, so delicious and I'm saying that as someone who is usually not at all a fan of them. But this one?
