A good old-fashioned police procedural, set at an enchanting ski resort in a small village in the mountains of Italy. Although the book deals with some very contemporary issues, it was written in 1959, and set in that time period, which added to the its charm.  I changed my mind at least 3 times about whom I was convinced was the killer. It kept me guessing right up until the end.  A very satisfying read!
