I tried re-reading this by listening to the audiobook, but I just couldn't get into to, mostly be cause of the narrator. He did different voices for the characters but they were goofy, unrealistic voices and just sounded stupid.

I enjoyed this book but there were some parts that threw me a little:
1. People seemed to change their opinions way too fast (Peter Church went from thinking his son was nuts for accepting Jin as his mate over Simone to being very loving and accepting of Jin) (the bad guys were forgiven and became good guys).
2. The world and the rules governing the shifters were never really explained. The author seemed to be making it all up as she wrote (NOT good for cohesion and clarity).
On the whole, though, I could get past these because she really made the characters pop (they felt like real people, for the most part).
