Hehe, this was a cute book. It's about a street-boy that attempts to pick-pocket a wizard, and is somehow unaffected by the wizard's locust stone. The wizard senses the boy, Conn, is more than he thinks he is, and takes him on as an apprentice. Juggling his life serving and learning from the wizard, and his old life of stealing on the streets, Conn must try and figure out who is stealing the city's magic, no matter what the danger.

It's not a complex book - it's a fun, entertaining read that made me smile. It is exciting, and though it's not the most original of plots, the characters are well thought-out and you learn to relate to them. So I will be buying the sequel, for some more guilty fun.
