I really enjoyed this and am quickly finding myself to be quite the Rachel Harrison fan.
While this is a horror story, it is also a story about friendship and how friendships change over time.
My favorite part of this story was absolutely the boutique hotel setting. Each room has a different theme, and I could spend an entire day exploring these rooms. The autumnal atmosphere was also great, gloomy, dreary, foggy, and perfect for this kind of story.
The cast of characters was great, I could see this group as a realistic group of friends, and they are all very likable.
[Spoiler!] My only complaint is that you don't get a definitive answer as to what kind of monster we are dealing with in the story, but I'm assuming it is a wendigo.
I would recommend this book for spooky season, monster seekers, and fright fans.
