WHEW!!! This was my first dark academia book and MANNNN it took me through it!!! I think Tigest did a wonderful job with the world-building and developing the characters. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I didn't like how the FMC was insufferable. Her day to day decisions and mannerisms were a hard pill to swallow and read. I had to put the book down several times because her actions were upsetting. I know some people don't mind that in characters but this book made me realize that it's not a fave for me. The enemies to lovers was a slow but delectable so don't expect it to fully develop in book one. I loved the spice as well, I'm used to a little more but the amount given was great in relation to the plot. I'm hoping in book 2 there will be more! Other than that it was a good read with a great plot! The cliff hanger at the end was disappointing lol but I'll live. Hopefully she will come out with book 2 soon.
