Den of Thieves by James B. Stewart

4.0

A pretty unbelievable story, but amazingly all true. The ease with which insider trading was perpetrated by Michael Milken, Ivan Boesky, Dennis Levine, Marty Siegel and many others is surprising and not surprising at the same time. The second half of the book satisfies by seeing these guys get their comeuppance, but there's a tinge of frustration there too knowing that some of them, including Milken, remain very very wealthy even after jail time and fines of hundreds of millions of dollars. Fun to read about Giuliani in his pre-mayoral years also.
