Do Better: Spiritual Activism for Fighting and Healing From White Supremacy by Rachel Ricketts

3.0

I was recommended this book by my therapist, and I understand why. It's a wonderful book for someone who likes the guides meditations and journal exercises and might need that to internalize the inner work being done in this book. Rachel Ricketts also uses a really approachable and informal writing style that is very charming and inviting.

I think it could be great for someone that wants an approachable and more personal way to work through internalized racism, misogyny, anti-blackness, and transphobia. However, the style just didn't work for me since I've read a lot of other books that go into more depth about the social and systemic underpinnings of white supremacist capitalist patriarchy.
