Duplex by Orson Scott Card
3.0

I am always excited when there is a new Orson Scott Card book because they are always excellent. Duplex is the 2nd book in the Micropowers series, we meet a new cast of people with micropowers with someone who can react quickly to someone trying to harm someone that he cares about, and a girl who is somewhat cursed with the ability to show a face that is so beautiful that its debilitating to others. Mr Card has an amazing ability to write stories with children as the protagonists and that continues with this series. If you have yet to read Lost and Found I would start there, they are stand alone stories so you could read either first though.

I initially gave this book a huge benefit of the doubt because of my love of his other writing but the signs were in this book that his writing was falling off a cliff. They spent way too much time of how do you feel vs how it made me feel etc.. the next book he did Wakers was terrible and the signs were in this book.
