Shadow Study
by Maria V. Snyder
This book was written differently than the rest of the "Study" and "Glass" books, in that Snyder switched between POVs from chapter to chapter. It was an interesting switch. The story did feel to progress much slower than the previous books, but it was made up for in the fact that it gave Snyder an opportunity to go into Valek's backstory and reveal how he became an assassin. Valek is hands down my favorite character, so I enjoyed his chapters very much. I can't wait to find out what happens between Yelena and Valek in the next book after that cliff hanger we were left with!
