Second Chance Summer by Jill Shalvis

This book of love, loss and healing was like a breath of fresh air. Ok, maybe that was a little much to say. But honestly, I truly enjoyed it. Though this book had some really heavy things it was dealing with, (death of a parent, death of a sibling, abusive father) it was able to remain lighthearted. The element of the firefighter job and the worry that it brings I think was handled realistically as well.
I do really enjoy stories of couples with history. The history with this one had a different element and feel to it than any of the ones I have read recently, and it was nice.
All in all, this republish was a good idea. I'm glad that this came my way!
