Slower paced than the first book in my opinion and it takes a while for the plot to go anywhere. The last 200 pages are where the majority of the plot is. The characters are great and I enjoy most of them but this story felt like more of a slog to me than the first book. I'll be reading the last book in the trilogy but need a break before I get to it.
