The concept for this was really original, I loved that about it, it definitely wasn't cliche. It wasn't intense, but it had drama, but viewed from the eyes of an 11-year-old, so it wasn't as deep as it would have been, had it been written from the perspective of his adult brother. I was definitely sad when I finished the book, but not because the ending particularly bittersweet, it was the kind of sad you get after finishing a good book and knowing that you'll never hear from the characters again. That's how I can tell whether or not it was a good book. If I finish a book and all I feel is a vague appreciation for it, it wasn't as good of a book. Anyways, this book is definitely worth a read, it may take a little bit to get invested in it, but it's worth it.
