I picked this up after reading 'There's Someone Inside Your House' (which I quite enjoyed) but this one was sadly quite disappointing for me. We follow two girls who go on a tramp before they split ways after high school, and it all goes wrong when one of them falls in a hole.
To be frank, I found it all super predictable and uninspiring. I don't want to come down to hard on the novel, as there are probably people who loved it, but it kinda just annoyed me. The character issue of losing your friends as you grow up could have been explored in a more interesting and less cliched way, which didn't include such repetitive conversations. Also the foreshadowing was so violently overt, it was slapping in me the face.
Overall, a bit of a shame really.
