Diggers by Terry Pratchett
2.0
(Note: This is the same review for all three books, as they're all one story and short).
These three books were fun enough in the kind of tongue-in-cheek way that Pratchett writes. The typical power inversions were fun, the misunderstandings of the world from a different perspective (e.g. how humans/trucks/malls work or what they are or why), etc. etc. That said, the story as a whole, across all three books, just wasn't that enticing. I read along more because of who the author was than the story itself.
Which is to say if you're a Pratchett fan these books are fun, and for kids particularly they might be quite enjoyable, but for the typical adult reader they were just a bit....meh. Worth a gander but not with high expectations.
