Six-gun Snow White

A fun retelling of the Snow White tale, set in the American West. I enjoyed seeing how Valente changed different aspects of the fairy tale to suit the new setting, and if anything I wanted more depth and worldbuilding than this slim novella could provide. The Western setting was a nice original twist on the trend of fairy tale retellings. I did feel like readers were held at a bit of a distance from the main character, but that's also pretty typical in fairy tales and myths so I suppose that suits the source material. All in all, a quick read and an original interpretation.
