As I'm sitting through another spring snow storm I just realized I forgot to post my review for The Dead of Winter, which I read back on Christmas Eve. So without further ado, since it looks like the dead of winter outside right now, here is my review! 

Book Review! 📚 Perfect Christmas Eve reading! I really enjoyed this trip through the past, learning the history of many of our favourite Holiday characters and traditions, such as Krampus, mummers, guiseing, and wassails!

Following along as the author takes in the different winter holidays and traditions starting shortly before Christmas and ending many weeks later. It is a winter travel guide as much as an exploration of historical traditions. She takes in so many different European destinations for the many celebrations she takes part in. I especially enjoyed the retelling of her experience running with the Krampus.
