The Mystery of the Ivory Charm by Carolyn Keene

2.0

Frankly, I couldn't stand this "mystery." It was pretty much solved in the second chapter, but they had to wait for the dude to arrive from out of town. The half-hearted try at including the Indian culture was mostly just insulting, and completely unrecognizable. The villains were without real motivation, and the meditative trances that provided Nancy with most of her clues were unexplained. The only one so far worse than this book, was The Sign of the Twisted Candles. I only give a second star because it's in this beloved series, but I wouldn't recommend to any but those who intend to read all of the Nancy Drew mysteries (like me).
